“For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated with him in heavenly realms because we are united with Jesus Christ” Ephesians 2:6 (NLT)

The word SEAT refers to been set down together and we have been made take a seat in the company of Jesus Christ. Although we have a place to sit, some Christians today prefer standing which means they do not understand the provision God has made for us through his son Jesus.

It basically comes down to your faith in God. Dr. Myles Munroe said “the resources we need are not meant to become the objects of our faith but byproducts of our faith.”  Most of us believers today anchor our faith on what we need to get from God not on God himself.

2 Peter 1:3 “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” We have been given ALL. The point is that we have become so used to things that we term them as normal. On one hand are the FACTS produced by what we see and can feel while on the other side of the divide, there infallible TRUTH of the word of God. Which do you choose to believe?

Stop taking the provisions made available for you lightly. From big issues like funds to settle issues, healing from chronic diseases to the tiny headaches that we say comes from stress there is provision available. Are you willing to tap into it? If you were to be alive in the days of Jesus would he leave you that way without touching you if you asked? How much more now that he has ascended into heaven with a promise given to us: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”  John 16:23b. The Apostle Paul re-echoed in Romans 8:32 “He that spared not his own SON, but delivered up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

Now, in 2 Corinthians 3:18 says “So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious picture.” Until you have the clear picture or experiential knowledge of Jesus paying the price for you, you will tend to suffer for lack of knowledge. This also brings the renewed mind into consideration. Feasting on the word and passing it to your Spirit man. Then only can you live like Jesus Christ truly because you become changed into his glorious picture. This makes you speak into whatever defect you still carry in and with you in whatever area of your life it is. He has made all ready.

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Don’t Stay On the Shore

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

This scripture is very popular one yet one thing that a lot of people do not understand today is that they are perishing because of the lack of input of knowledge. Yes!!! You know the truth but you do not apply it. Wisdom is applying knowledge. When you get to apply knowledge you move forward.

You want to grow as a Christian, you NEED Koinonia (Fellowship).

No amount of sermons you listen to as a believer will make you grow as God wants you to. Don’t get me wrong, sermons are great catalyst in placing one on that pedestal of growth God wants us to have but you can’t move up if you never can sit down and have fellowship with the Spirit which in turn means you having Fellowship with the Son and the Father because the 3 are 1 but Koinonia is with the Spirit which resides on the inside of us and helps us reach out to the Father through Jesus.

Many of us actually zealous in church, a lot of us want to spend our day playing instruments, singing, teaching n doing other things in God’s house but God’s first desire is for a fellowship with us.

Fellowship is defined as A feeling of friendship or connection between two or more people or Spiritual communion with a divine being. It is the point where you pour out your mind and you know the other’s mind cos it’s poured out.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.(2 Cor 13:14). The Grace and Love we ask us which are the distinct personality and attributes of the Father and the Son cannot be complete and accessed fully till fellowship takes place with the Holy Spirit. Why? This is because the Holy Spirit is the one that does the work of revealing who GRACE is to Us and Christ is the revealer of who God is

2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Note: 1. A King cannot reveal the fullness of his GLORY to one without his tent. 2. You are not changed at once at the point of accepting a relationship with Christ (this is key before fellowship). Change comes from Koinonia (The more time you spend with someone, the greater influence they’ll have on you.) Everyday you begin to see that there is likeness in the way you talk, you begin to think alike [Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…This verse is at the center of two(2) wonderful revelation to God’s body but the beauty of this verse is the foundation to it (Phil 1:5,27-2:1-4 – there’s got to be oneness in Spirit, like mindedness esteeming of one’s self lower than others, getting to know others need, same love etc- all these are impossible without a fellowship (getting to know each other) first taking place.)]

To serve God effectively, there must be a certain level of revelation which can never be till there is a certain level of fellowship. The extent to which you’ll know Christ is to the degree to which you are ready to Sit and have discussions/fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Scriptures For Further Reading!!

1 Corinthians 1:9-10 KJV God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? A strong greek root word is used for fellowship here is metochē (like having sexual intercourse -From the little I know about it, at this point you are fully given to yourselves)
Ephesians 3:9 KJV And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (There is a certain mystery to know that fellowship brings to light.)

Philippians 3:10 KJV That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; [Now this part we don’t want to or like hearing. Fellowship with someone sometimes bring us to the point where we undergo pains n trials for standing for what that other party stands for that’s why Apostle Paul told Tim in his second letter to him (3:12) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.(note the word “IN”. You living as a branch that fellowships with the Vine John 15)].

1 John 1:3 KJV That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:6-7 KJV If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Why all these? 1 John 1:4 KJV And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Revelation 3:20 KJV Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

You’ve kept him out for so long.. You might not be a sinner, you might have been in a relationship with him that his given your life to him and all you think about now is running here and there to work for him. But what about your communion life? When was the last time you had breakfast/lunch or dinner with him? When was the last time you spent time with him? When was the last time you allowed him do the talking while you listened or you do all the talking and walk away leaving him without allowing him say one word?

You back home as a father having created time to talk, discuss with your children or vice versa and the excuse from the other party remains Dad/Mom, let me get you this or that, let me conclude this work/job, oh!!! This house is too dirty let me arrange then we talk. And you feel dejected, frustrated cos your child or parents actually think you want them just to get stuffs for you and not sit with you.

The scenario above paints what we do to God still yet He loves us and he calls, whisper gently, tenderly for us to open up!! Can’t you hear him say Son, Daughter enough of activities, I wanna spend time with you?

Please just open up and experience Joy untold. Selah.

Wonder of God’s Surplus

Phil 4:11-19

A child of God exudes and portray a kind of contentment in any state he/she is in not because that state is the best they’ve found out the secret to great gain which is godliness + contentment 1 Tim 6:6. This is however impossible without the ability to rest in Christ. At the state of rest you are free from worry and anxiety because you have a certain amount of trust n confidence in his ability to see you through. However the amount of trust you put in Christ is equal to the extent of revelation you have about his person that his your amount of knowledge about him( mind you, this knowledge is not just head knowledge but the one given by revelation of the Spirit of God.)

Once you give your life to Christ you are automatically signed up for his surplus but then having an ever increasing account with God comes as a result of faith and your cheerful giving to necessity of saints.

As a result of the trust in him, you realize that you get to be strong in midst of trials, you get strength to do things you ordinarily cannot do not to your account but charged to Christ’s account.

Now Needs are different from Wants. They are basic, essential, cannot be done without. You get to have your needs supplied when you learn to unmask them before God by so doing, you get to appreciate God’s faithfulness because then he never fails..
Keys To Activation of Surplus.

See: God’s heart aches for his blind ppl. Can’t you see what the devil is trying to do? He knows SEEING is the first step to activation so he makes you unable to see.

Know: You can see but then you don’t even know. You educated but still an illiterate, is the devil’s work. You can never get blessed beyond your level of Knowledge.. You starve, perish cos u don’t Know.

Believe: It is one thing to know n other to believe. The devil creates fear, doubts, worry in ur hearts by things you see n hear around but once youBelieve n put faith in God, then it’s done and dusted.

Ask: This is the most important KEY!! You won’t get anything with your mouth closed. Yes he knows your need but he wants you to bring them to him. My dear, never stop asking cos his riches r inexhaustible.
Sound Knowledge Brings about Activation/Achievement (A friend gave this to me after asking for a words you’ll remember easily.)
One of my favorite preacher gave this illustration of vs19 n I’m certain it’ll bless you..

Bank Name: Life’s Bank

Acct Name: My God Worldwide

Pay Sum of Money to: Ogede Philip (your name)

Amount: All His Needs

Account Type: According to My Riches in Glory (which by the way is inexhaustible

Signatory: Christ Jesus (Divine Seal of Authority)..

Welcome to God’s Surplus!!!. But don’t forget to have a grateful heart cos it opens door for others to come in..

Father’s Love

I have fallen, Lord,
Once more.
I can’t go on, I’ll never succeed.
I am ashamed, I don’t dare look at you.
And yet I struggled, Lord, for I knew you were right near me, bending over me, watching.
But temptation blew like a hurricane,
And instead of looking at you I turned my head away,
I stepped aside
While you stood, silent and sorrowful,
Like the spurned fiancè who sees his loved one carried away bo the enemy.
When the wind died down as suddenly as it had arisen,
When the lightning ceased after proudly streaking the darkness,
All of a sudden I found myself alone, ashamed, disgusted, with my sin in my hands.
This sin that I selected the way a customer makes his purchase,
This sin that I have paid for and cannot return, for the shopkeeper is no longer there,
This tasteless sin,
This odorless sin,
This sin that sickens me,
That I have wanted but want no more,
That I have imagined, sought, played with, fondled, for a long time;
That I have finally embraced while turning coldly away from you,
My arms outstretched, my eyes and heart irresistibly drawn;
This sin that I have grasped and consumed with gluttony,
It’s mine now, but it possesses me as the spiderweb holds captive the gnat.
It is mine,
It sticks to me,
It flows in my veins,
It fills my heart.
It has slipped in everywhere, as darkness slips into the forest at dusk
And fills all the patches of light.
I can’t get rid of it.
I run from it the way one tries to lose a stray dog, but it catches up with me and bounds joyfully against my legs.
Everyone must notice it.
I’m so ashamed that I feel like crawling to avoid being seen,
I’m ashamed of being seen by my friends,
I’m ashamed of being seen by you, Lord,
For you loved me, and I forgot you.
I forgot you because I was thinking of myself
And one can’t think of several persons at once.
One must choose, and I chose.
And your voice,
And your look
And your love hurt me.
They weigh me down
They weigh me down more than my sin.
Lord, don’t look at me like that,
For I am naked,
I am dirty,
I am down,
With no strength left.
I dare make no more promises,
I can only lie bowed before you.
[The Father’s Response]
Come, son, look up.
Isn’t it mainly your vanity that is wounded?
If you loved me, you would grieve, but you would trust.
Do you think that there’s a limit to God’s love?
Do you think that for a moment I stopped loving you?
But you still rely on yourself, son. You must rely only on me.
Ask my pardon
And get up quickly.
You see, it’s not falling that is the worst,
But staying on the ground.
-Michel Quoist

Life is an opportunity and an experience. These experiences can be negative or positive. We either learn from these experience to either become better us or worse than we were before that situation that is why it is an opportunity to either advance or fall.

Lessons From Barcelona VS Paris Saint-Germain

Hello guys, quite a while. I’m real sorry it has been this long.

Even if you not a football loving individual, please read this

Something happened in the world of football yesterday and the
greatest comeback in the history of the Champions League. After the first leg 4 nil defeat away to Paris Saint-Germain in France, all left for Barcelona was to play for pride in the second leg at home.

A fortnight ago, morale was down in the Barcelona ranks as they were humbled by the French side. Their head coach was written off and called every name under the sun and among some sects of football loving fans; it triggered the decision of the head coach Luis Enrique to leave the Spanish Giants at the end of the season. During this trying times, Barca players never lost faith in their gaffer. Continue reading “Lessons From Barcelona VS Paris Saint-Germain”
